Thursday Edition - wiww

Can you believe it's already Thursday - the last Thursday of July??

Yes, I forgot yesterday was Wednesday.

Well, maybe I didn't forget it was Wednesday, I just forgot it was WIWW!!

My sister and I went on a little road trip with my mom and dad last week,
so I don't have many good wiww photos (full length pics).

However, I do have a couple of photos that include my little sister!!
Hopefully, she won't mind that I post them on here!!

This was the day before we left and I had to make a Wal-Mart run!

On our way, we had to stop for lunch............
We thought our parents wanted to stop at Crackle Barrel - so we did!
But apparently they don't really like it either!!

We were both wearing yoga pants and t-shirts - and I threw on a scarf for a 'lil cuteness!!

On Friday - we went shopping -
For cowboy boots!!

We're from Oklahoma, so we really don't need to travel to buy boots -
but why is it always more fun to shop in other cities??

A horse, is a horse, of course, of course

but have you ever seen a talking horse??

Above is my sister and a horse named Sparky.......

isn't my sister cute?? This is definitely her color!!

 After we left Sparky, we headed to a "historic downtown square".
It was absolutely gorgeous!! Definitely worth the extra 20 miles we had to drive!

I need this cabin in my backyard!! It was so cute!!

Can you imagine it with hanging plants and some rocking chairs??

Friday night - we went to listen to some live music by the Keith Morrison Band.

Saturday we played some slot machines and hung-out with our parents!

Then went to listen to Keith Morrison again!

And since returning to the sweltering 100 plus degree temps of Oklahoma -

this is my outfit of choice!!!

Purchased in the historic downtown square of Collierville, Tennessee!!

Can't wait to wear them!! I might even try to wear them with a dress!???

My friends say I can - so we'll see if I can pull it off!!

What I Wore Wednesday

Hey there!!

It's What I Wore Wednesday - The Slacker Version!!

Taking pictures - or even wearing cute outfits hasn't really been at the top of my list

the past few weeks!! It's been above 100 degrees for almost 3 weeks,

so we've been spending ALOT of time in the pool!!!

But, I did get a couple of photos over the past couple of weeks -

nothing exciting -

but here we go....................

Fourth of July - we didn't go anywhere -

just hung around the house and that night and the previous night,

watched fireworks from the pool.

Not the most flattering jeans - but oh, so, comfy!! I've had them for about 7 years

and just can't part with them!!

I paint in them, garden in them, lounge around in them............

and actually wore them out in public the other day - paint splotches and all!!

What I Wore Wednesday

Hi kids!!

Here we are again and it's already Wednesday -

so you know what that means........

Since we spend so much time outside and in the pool -

because it's been H.O.T. here in Oklahoma - we're talking 104 degrees -

I only took photos on Monday.

Yesterday would have been the perfect opportunity for photos

with my sweet cousin visiting from Alaska -

BUT I completely forgot to take photos!!

She looked great and she was wearing the cutest wedges!!! darn it!!!

On Monday, I had lunch with a good friend from high school!!

We ate lunch and just sat and talked for 3 hours -

just like old times!!! It was wonderful!!

I don't remember where I purchased this top - but I love the colors!!

My new necklace is from Kohl's. I love the length of it!

I absolutely love the little flower!!

and this is the other jewelry I wore.........

both from Kohl's.

It was on sale - 30% off, I had a 20% coupon and an additional $5 off coupon.

So, it was almost free!!!!

It probably would have been, if I hadn't purchased other items as well :)

Wow!! I haven't been sleeping well for the past few weeks and it is starting to catch-up with me!!

I look old, sleepy, puffy, tired, and completely worn-out!!

Not sure what the deal is - but I need to get it figured out, soon!!!

I'm a Dreamer.................

I'm definitely a dreamer!! How about you?

While I am content in my life, I continually dream of things to come -

My mind is creative and most of my dreams encompass things that speak to that

and keep my mind active.

I don't know if my mind ever really stops creating.

Sometimes I can't sleep at night because of something I saw on tv, or a magazine,

or a blog, or something in my everyday life that sparks something on that

side of my brain and makes me want to create!

It could be a color or a texture or a house or land I saw for sale.

Even something as simple as someone making a statement about something they want to create

or needing an idea for decorating or a  party.

With all that said - all I really wanted to say is that

I dream about owning a cabin or a cottage on the lake.

The following photos show a dream cabin in the foothills of North Carolina.

I'll keep my dream a little closer to home here in Oklahoma -

 but this is a beautiful cabin -

While I am a dreamer - I do have realistic expectations and

don't know if I could ever have a cabin like this -

but the dreamer in me,
